She was seen a lot in 2018 and '19 when El Chapo was in trial in the U.S., always dressed to the nines. So mostly, she just appeared to be a former beauty queen enjoying the profits of her husband. About six months later, after Guzman was re-arrested, Coronel allegedly tried to plan another prison escape before her husband’s January 2017 extradition to the U.S. El Chapo was convicted in 2019 for his role as a leader of the Sinaloa Cartel and ultimately sentenced to life plus 30 years in prison. El Chapo’s wife isn’t the only one who has taken to social media to share her luxurious life. Jesus Alfredo Guzman, one of the drug lord’s sons, – who is already on US’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s most-wanted fugitive list – has also created a TikTok account and quickly amassed more than 15,000 followers.
